South Beach Diet

The South Beach Diet is a popular plan that has helped many people lose substantial amounts of weight and has gained a lot of media attention as well. This is not necessarily because it is novel diet plan, but because it is administered in an easy, step-by-step process that is simple to follow.

The South Beach Diet claims to be neither low-fat nor low-carb. As a mixture of both diets, it allows us to keep essential foods that our bodies need. The South Beach Diet consists of three phases. The first is only two weeks long; it is a strict phase that is essentially low in carbohydrates. The next phase is just a limited eating lifestyle. It tells you which foods to stay away from. The final phase is the one which you can follow indefinitely, once you have reached your goal weight. This is more of a healthy lifestyle than a diet.

The South Beach Diet has a great interactive website that makes the experience fun and easy to follow. It has recipes, meal plans, a weight tracker and more. You can communicate with other “beach buddies” and also get a complete break down of exactly what foods you should be eating. Tracking your progress is easy, complete with graphs and medical breakdowns. It takes the guesswork out of dieting and helps you to get excited about your progress.
