Lose Weight Quickly

Owing to America’s constant drive for instant gratification, many overweight people seek not the best or healthiest method of weight loss, but simply to lose weight quickly. While there are innumerable ways to quickly drop extra pounds, chances are the weight will come creeping back.

You can lose weight quickly in a number of dangerous ways. Diet pills can help you knock off a few pounds, but the progress then quickly halts to a stop. Once you stop taking the pills, the weight will likely return. If you continue the pills, you will suffer from adverse health effects. In short, dietary drugs are a poor way to lose weight quickly if you are looking for a healthy solution.

Certain fad diets can help you lose weight quickly. The Hollywood or Celebrity diet, which consists of drinking nothing but a fruit juice for two days, is one popular diet. The cabbage soup diet is a week-long diet that restricts your calorie intake dramatically and can help you lose as much as ten pounds. All of these fad diets may work, however, no one can stay on such a diet indefinitely. Not only is it incredibly restrictive, but your nutritional needs will not be met, and your health will suffer. To jumpstart a healthy diet plan, these may not be bad catalysts to lose weight quickly.

“Starvation diets” and laxatives are extremely unhealthy and unsafe practices that many people have reportedly used to lose weight quickly. These dangerous methods have often been used by fashion models and others with a high pressure to remain thin. These methods only help drop water weight and do not help reduce any fat.
