Blood Type Diet

The Blood Type Diet is a fascinating diet plan that is based on the concept that a person’s diet should vary with their specific blood type. The Blood Type Diet, popularized by the best-selling book "Eat Right For Your Type" by Peter D’Adamo, ND, is based on the theory that people with different blood types respond differently to specific foods. Thus, this diet plan has a separate meal plan and food guidelines for people that fall into different blood type categories. While this may not be the most optimal weight loss plan, it is designed as a dietary lifestyle that should maximize your health and the usefulness of the foods that you eat.

The Blood Type Diet theory encourages daily consumption of meat by people of blood type O and blood type B. Noted naturopathic physician Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo introduces a revolutionary new way to eat - and to live. In "Eat Right For Your Type," he explains his groundbreaking diet plan based upon blood type. Our blood type is a roadmap to our inner chemistry, and each blood type processes food, handles stress, and fights disease differently. Find out what you should be eating, and how you should be exercising according to your type.

For instance, A concise plan of what is in store for various blood types is as follows: For Type O, one should consume more protein, eliminate grains, and perform energetic aerobic exercise. Blood type A individuals should try eat lots of vegetables, exercise more mildly, and ease tension through meditation. Blood type B’s should vary their diet with a diversity of food groups (including dairy), and exercise moderately by swimming or walking. Blood type AB individuals have most of the benefits and intolerances of Types A and B. Relaxation exercises can also be helpful.
