The low fat diet is the traditional model for weight loss. • The low fat diet places a strong emphasis on fruits and vegetables

• No more than 30% of your daily caloric intake should come from fat

• The low fat diet emphasizes getting your daily required amounts of dairy products, which have been shown to help the body burn fat

• The diet does not leave out any entire food groups

• The low fat diet has been shown to help lower cholesterol and prevent high blood pressure.
