Lose Water Weight

Is it healthy to lose water weight? Find out at DietsMD!

No matter what type of body you have naturally, the retention of excess water can give the appearance of bloating or extra weight. Often times, the advertised "miracle" diets find a way to rid your body of water weight in order to achieve quick results. The fact of the matter however, is that as soon as you rehydrate yourself, the water weight comes right back! Remember that the majority of our body is made of water, and it is there for a reason. It is important for us to stay hydrated so that all of our natural processes can occur in the correct environment. Water is one of the main controls of the pH of our body, and without it, our bodies can suffer. While it may be allright to rid ourselves of excess water, it is important not to go beyond the healthy limit. We, at DietsMD, have found some natural ways that the body can rid itself of excess water. Try the methods below and let others know your results in the diets forum.
Lose Water Weight

• Do not dehydrate yourself! Drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day allows your body to naturally rid itself of the excess.

• Eating certain foods like parsley and cucumbers that are naturally high in water have been shown to help the body in remaining hydrated to the proper levels.

• Taking diuretic pills or water pills are not dangerous and do not require a prescription.

• Visiting a sauna or steam room allows your body to perspire away the extra water that is does not need.
